Dr. Marshall is a board certified medical doctor under the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Anesthesiology, and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He joined New England Sport and Spine in May of 2016 and provides kyphoplasty, infusion therapy, transforaminal epidural steriod injection (ESI), rhizotomy, and caudals at the practice.
Dr. Marshall is a 1985 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and he completed his medical internships through the Hartford Hospital Internal Medicine Residency and the Hartford Hospital Anesthesiology Residency. Dr. Marshall was president of Penobscot Anesthesia from 2001-2004, Clinical Director of EMMC Cardiac Anesthesia Services from 1991-1999, and Clinical Director of EMMC Pain Services from 1991-1999 and 2005-2016, where he credentialed 6 PA's. Dr. Marshall also served in the Army Reserve 405th Combat Support Hospital in West Hartford, Connecticut. He was Chief of Anesthesia, Major rank, and was also active duty during Desert Storm in 1991.
Dr. Marshall specializes in balloon kyphoplasty with 500 case experience and infusion therapy, where he has extensive experience with ketamine infusion protocols for pain. He is also an expert in conscious sedation and has been ACLS certified since 1991.
